Not your average Mirus user.  Brian became a Mirus customer in 2009 when his family was a Carl’s Jr. franchisee operating 45 units.  Today Mirus provides the BI Reporting for Wild Bull Services, Inc. which has an annual turnover of $600+ million a year.  Wild Bull imports Beef, Butter, Pork, and Shrimp from around the world.

Justin Bancroft, Director of FP&A, Jim N’ Nicks Community BBQ

Justin joined Jim N’ Nicks BBQ as the Director of FP&A in April of 2023. In this role he supports Jim N’ Nicks’ restaurants and field leadership in the roles of decision support, financial analysis, strategic planning, and special projects. He has 12 years of FP&A experience working within CPG, retail, and restaurant organizations. Prior to Jim N’ Nicks, Justin served as the Senior Finance Manager Store Operations at The Honey Baked Ham Company. In this role he led financial analysis and support for the organization’s Company Owned, Franchise, and Direct to Consumer Businesses. Justin earned a Bachelors and Master of Accounting at Georgia State University.

With more than 30 years of experience in the restaurant and technology industries, Dave has deftly steered Mirus through its formative years as well as into its current growth phase. Prior to joining Mirus in 2000, Dave delivered more than $500 million in large-scale information services contracts for IBM Global Services. In addition, he previously served as the vice president for information services for the now Dunkin’ Brands, where he managed the information strategies and policies of more than 5,000 Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin’ Donuts locations. Dave holds a B.S. in Business Administration and MBA from Northeastern University.

Emily Duncan Tobar, Integration Manager, Mirus

Emily manages the on boarding of new accounts with the Integration team during the initial implementation process, as well as the integration of new systems for existing Mirus clients. Prior to joining the Mirus team in 2012, she worked as General Manager and Director of Marketing & Sales for Howl at the Moon in Houston, Indianapolis and San Antonio. She holds a BA from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX.

Delyth Jones Delyth Jones, Software Quality Assurance Analyst, Mirus

Delyth heads up the Quality Assurance team at Mirus.  With almost 10 years of experience at Mirus in an Account Management role and a liaison with the Development team, she brings a wide range of skills to the team.  In addition to testing the application and documenting, she plans and works on new features, organizes software builds, pitches new developmental ideas, and advocates clients’ requests for application improvements.  She helps ensure Mirus delivers quality to our clients.  Delyth graduated from Sam Houston State University and holds a BBA in Management Information Systems.

Meredith Laurans, Accounting Systems Manager, Krystal Restaurants

Meredith graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelors in Business Administration and a minor in Hospitality Administration. Soon after graduation, she attended Nova Southeastern University where she earned her MBA in Finance. Meredith joined Benihana in 2014 as an IT System Support Analyst, and shortly thereafter transitioned to the Finance team where she took on the role of administrator and main report writer in Mirus for the organization. At the end of 2020, she joined Checkers & Rally’s as a Senior Financial Analyst and was promoted to Manager of FP&A in November 2021. In June of 2023, she joined the Krystal team as the Accounting Systems Manager where her emphasis is as the administrator and report writer in Mirus. On a personal note, Meredith has been married since 2018 and she has two beautiful children; ages 4 & 2. She is an avid college football fan; as well as enjoying all things book, film or tv related.

Jeff Levitt, Asset Protection Manager, Portillo’s Hot Dogs

Hot Dog!  Jeff came to Portillo’s Hot Dogs in 2020 to develop an Asset Protection program after more than 30 years of Retail and Restaurant Loss Prevention experience. He works closely with the Finance, Legal, and HR departments, all of which use Mirus and CCTV on a daily basis.    Jeff enjoys sharing information with his industry peers as his way of giving back. He is a founding and charter member of the Loss Prevention Foundation and a former board member of the Restaurant Loss Prevention Security Association (RLPSA).  He is also a 30+ year member of ASIS International where he became board certified in security management and was chair of the retail council.

On a personal note, Jeff has been married 25 years and has a 23 year old son who works in the Medical I.T. field.  He relishes time with his family but looks forward to MCON meetings to Ketchup with his peers in the industry!

Priscilla Midani

 

Priscilla Midani, Account Coordinator, Mirus

As part of the Account Management team, Priscilla serves as a liaison between clients and Mirus, helping clients with training, reporting and projects. She has a deep rooted admiration for all things related to food and her career history has mirrored this sentiment. Priscilla has a background in BOH Operations. Before joining the Mirus team, she worked for a Natural Foods CPG company. She holds a BSCJ from Texas State University.

Dina oversees the Development and Quality Assurance teams at Mirus. Dina coaches and develops both teams as well as is hands on in day-to-day tasks to keep the Mirus products competitive and current.  Her teams work closely with the Account Management team to ensure clients’ requests are being met.   She has been with Mirus for over 20 years in many different capacities.  Dina earned her B.S in Management Information Systems at Nichols College.

Delaney OBrien

Delaney O'Brien, Account Coordinator, Mirus

Delaney maintains client relations, projects, and training for Mirus. She has worked in the restaurant industry for 16 years and worn multiple hats from Regional Trainer to Management. She worked as a leasing professional for Greystar for 3 years prior to joining Mirus in June of 2022. She is following in her family's footsteps and has volunteered as a Committee Member for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for 9 years. Her 10 year old black lab mix named himself Jaxson after the main character in the show Sons of Anarchy.

Alan Panek Alan Panek, Vice President Client Services, Mirus

Alan is responsible for servicing the daily needs of Mirus clients. He leads the account management team and is responsible for getting new clients up to speed as well as coordinating ongoing client projects and priorities with the operations and development teams. Since joining Mirus in 2004, Alan has spearheaded the development of the company’s library of best practices. Prior to coming to Mirus, Alan served as a manager with Chili’s Bar and Grill. He earned his B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management at the Conrad N. Hilton College at the University of Houston.

Jason Perkins

 

 Jason Perkins, Account Coordinator, Mirus

Jason brings years of operational experience to Mirus having spent more than 28 years in the restaurant business, most recently as
General Manager for 10 years with Ruth’s Chris Steak House. He started washing dishes for his Kitchen Manager brother at 15, quickly making
the natural transition to the line, then management. Jason has worked across the food spectrum, from Mom and Pop shops to international fine dining restaurants. At home, Jason enjoys woodworking and camping with his wife, four kids, and two dogs.

Terri Pham Gonzalez, Manager of Account Services, Mirus

Terri is responsible for servicing the daily needs of Mirus clients. She leads the account coordinators and comes with years of experience in the restaurant industry, from growing up in her parents restaurants to working with large international brands. Prior to coming to Mirus, Terri worked with Starbucks Coffee Company, Harrah's Entertainment, and Starwood Hotels. She earned her B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management at the Conrad N. Hilton College at the University of Houston.

Cristina Shupp, Financial Controller, Talon Management Services

Cristina has fourteen years of experience in Accounting and Finance. She holds a B.S. in Accounting and an MBA with a concentration in Finance. She is currently the Financial Controller for Talon Management Services. In this role, she leads the accounting team and collaborates with internal and external business partners to manage reporting for a real estate company, twenty Red Robin restaurants, and eight Wingstop locations. Her skills have been instrumental in transforming business practices for various organizations. Some of her professional achievements include, providing supplemental instruction to students of accounting and finance, saving a company from closure due to IRS tax concerns, implementing new accounting software for various businesses and establishing best business practices to improve efficiency and limit profit leaks. Cristina lives in Pennsylvania where she loves spending time with her family and friends. She is passionate about volunteering and has helped many organizations such as Miller Keystone Blood Center, Relay for Life, Toys for Tots, The National Canal Museum, St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, and Sacred Heart Church.

Leslie Thompson Leslie Thompson, Sales & Marketing, Mirus

Leslie provides details about Mirus and it's solutions to prospective "Data Nerds". She has been working with Mirus for over 10 years. Prior to joining the Mirus sales team in 2012, Leslie was a Business Performance Advisor at Insperity where Mirus was one of her clients. She holds a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Texas in Austin.
